Join staff and the National Weather Service for a basic SKYWARN class in Madison, Indiana on Tuesday February 25th from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. NWS - train weather spotters provide real-time reports of tornadoes, hail, winds and flooding damage. SKYWARN spotters include ham radio operators, emergency responders and communication dispatchers, citizen groups and you! In order to receive a Storm Spotter ID, participants must be at least 18 years of age. Younger children and teenagers are welcome to attend for an educational experience.
The classes are free and all you need to do to register is show up. The presentation generally last two hours and are free. To receive a storm spotter ID participants must be at least 18 years of age.
