NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ( STORM SPOTTER TRAINING COURSE)

Join staff and the National Weather Service for a basic SKYWARN class in Madison, Indiana on Tuesday February 25th from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. NWS - train weather spotters provide real-time reports of tornadoes, hail, winds and flooding damage. SKYWARN spotters include ham radio operators, emergency responders and communication dispatchers, citizen groups and you! In order to receive a Storm Spotter ID, participants must be at least 18 years of age. Younger children and teenagers are welcome to attend for an educational experience.

​The classes are free and all you need to do to register is show up. The presentation generally last two hours and are free. To receive a storm spotter ID participants must be at least 18 years of age.
