About Emergency ManagementThe Emergency Management plays a critical role in preparing Vevay, Patriot and Switzerland County for any disaster. We have a Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP) that details our response to all hazards. The Plan is under constant review and is continually updated to reflect changes in policies and procedures. Emergency Preparedness is a community responsibility and you can help. Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) and Citizen Corps are designed to involve citizens in emergency response. We need your cooperation and support if we are to minimize the damage caused by a disaster in our community.
Announcements"We Need Volunteers"
7 out of 10 Firefighters and Emergency Responders are Volunteers, and your community needs more volunteers like you.
If you have got the heart to serve your community in ways few can, we've got the opportunities for you. As Indiana's Community College, in partnership with the Indiana Volunteer Firefighters Association, we want to take care of the people who will keep our communities safe. If you become an active member of a volunteer fire or EMS service provider, serving as a volunteer firefighter or EMS Responder, you can apply to most Ivy Tech programs offered and may receive free tuition while serving your community.
