AS OF FEB 1, 2012, vaccines from the Switzerland Co Health Dept are only for children that are Medicaid eligible, have no insurance or are underinsured (meaning those that insurance does not cover vaccines). All children that are considered fully insured cannot be vaccinated with federally funded vaccines.
If you are currently receiving vaccines from the Health Dept and are insured but unsure of your coverage, please contact your insurance company to see if your children are covered for vaccines.

At this time we do not make appointments for immunizations. It is strictly walk-in only. The nurse is available for these from 8:00-11:00 am and 12:00-3:30 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and 8:00am to 12:00pm on Thursdays.
Birth and Death Certificates have to be applied for in the county in which the birth or death occurred or through Indiana Vital Records.
Switzerland Co charges $10 for each certified copy.
