03-27-17-Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO's): Fact vs. Fiction
Whether you are a crop or livestock farmer, a vegetable grower, gardener, land owner, input supplier or an agribusiness manager, you have heard and per-haps gotten involved in the debates and conversations about genetically modified crops or the popular version, genetically modified organisms (GMOs). So much has been said and written on this subject but the controversies surrounding this topic still remain for such a long time. There are many myths sur-rounding this touchy subject and the facts are difficult to separate from fiction. Switzerland And Ohio Counties finally have an opportunity to have an expert from Purdue University come and help sort through the facts, myths and fictions surrounding GMOs. Join us at the Bear Branch Fire Department on March 27th at 6pm to hear from Dr. Peter Goldsbrough, Purdue
University, Dept. of Botany and Plant Pathology. RSVP to the SWCD office at 812-427-3126 ext. 3.
